Robarts scientists are experts in their respective disciplines. But beyond that expertise, Robarts scientists must also exhibit and embrace an entrepreneurial spirit that allows them to engage in a broad range of activities within the institute – ranging from inter-disciplinary collaborations with basic scientists and clinical researchers, to supporting core facilities, to working with industry partners. This complex milieu with the Robarts creates a unique phenotype that promotes creativity, collaboration and engagement, with the final goal to address major unmet needs in clinical and health research.
Research at Robarts emphasizes inter-disciplinary translational teams focused in areas of imaging, neuroscience, and cardiovascular disease. Additionally, scientific expertise within the institute ranges from genomics, to pre-clinical models, to clinical trials – spanning the entire continuum of translational science.
