Runner Kevin Blackney draws national attention
Robarts technician and former trainee Kevin Blackney, MSc'17, recently won silver and bronze medals at the Canadian Championships for 10k and 10,000m.
Blackney was featured in an article by The London Free Press for his national achievements in running.
"By day, Kevin Blackney works in a laboratory -- the fruits of his recently completed master's degree in immunology at Western.
And when he's done, he runs really fast for a rather long time.
So quickly, in fact, he followed up his second-place finish at the Canadian 10K championships last month in Ottawa with a personal-best, 29-minute, 55-second bronze effort last week at Guelph."
