Digital Tomosynthesis and X-Ray – Carestream
The Carestream DRX Evolution Digital X-Ray with digital tomosynthesis combines digital radiography (DR) and tomosynthesis technology to produce highly detailed 3D images for enhanced diagnostic accuracy and improved data acquisiton.
A series of low-dose X-ray images are captured from multiple angles, which are reconstructed to form a 3D data set of the area of interest. Superimposed structures are eliminated from the information allowing detection of subtle abnormalities in breast tissue, lung nodules and musculoskeletal injuries.
The DRX Evolution can also capture high quality digital radiographs (conventional x-rays) as well as serial radiographs to capture dynamic movement during acquisition.
