2017 J. Allyn Taylor International Prize in Medicine
As Chair of the Selection Committee for the J. Allyn Taylor International Prize in Medicine, made possible through the generosity of the C.H. Stiller Foundation, I am soliciting nominations for the 2017 J. Allyn Taylor International Prize in Medicine.
J. Allyn Taylor, founding Chair of the Board of Robarts Research Institute, was a widely respected Canadian business leader, and a person who, throughout his lifetime, demonstrated a deep regard and passionate involvement in health care matters in Canada.
The 2017 Taylor Prize will be granted to a scientist who has made outstanding contributions in the area of Discovery and Innovation in Multiple Sclerosis. The recipient of the prize will receive $25,000 and a classical medallion bearing the likeness of J. Allyn Taylor. As you can see from the enclosure, the award has been presented to many outstanding scientists over the years. A number of past winners of the Taylor Prize have gone on to win Gairdner, Lasker and Nobel Prizes.
I would value your help in selecting this year’s outstanding scientist in the field of Discovery and Innovation in Multiple Sclerosis. Nominations should be sent directly to me in both electronic and hardcopy formats, with a short summary of the nominee’s contributions along with a current curriculum vitae. The closing date for nominations is May 1, 2017.
