J. Allyn Taylor International Prize in MedicineTopic:  Cardiovascular Research

The 2009 Taylor Prize will be granted to a scientist who has made outstanding contributions in the chosen area. The recipient of the prize will receive $10,000 and a classical medallion bearing the likeness of J. Allyn Taylor. The award, proudly supported by Robarts Research Institute and The C.H. Stiller Memorial Foundation, has been presented to many outstanding scientists over the years. The $10,000 prize honours the late J. Allyn Taylor who was Robarts' founding chair, an Officer of The Order of Canada, a widely-respected Canadian business leader and close personal friend of the Stiller family.

Generously supported by the Stiller Foundation, the Taylor prize acknowledges the significant role J. Allyn Taylor played in the lives of Stiller family members as well as his personal and professional commitment to integrity, dedication and distinction. It is to Rev. Carl Hilmer Stiller (1910-1971) and the remarkable personal legacy and outstanding achievements which Mr. Taylor represents, that the Stiller family wishes to pay tribute.
