Support The Robarts Fund
Robarts Research Institute takes an interdisciplinary approach to medical research with biologists and biomedical engineers, physicians and physicists, investigating better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately prevent diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer, heart disease and stroke.
For our scientists to continue to pursue cutting-edge clinical and basic research, Robarts is committed to raising $2.5 million over the next several years to establish The Robarts Fund – a fully expendable resource that will enable the Institute to address immediate priorities and respond financially to emerging opportunities.
The Robarts Fund will allow the Institute to build on its distinctive research strengths with a view to expanding the scope of Robarts’ global influence. For example, The Robarts Fund will:
- Support Robarts researchers, scientists and clinicians by funding equipment needs and development of Robarts facilities;
- Allow Robarts to recruit and retain exceptional scientists, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students;
- Allow Robarts to capitalize on government funding opportunities that require a financial commitment from the Institute before receiving matching funds; and
- Provide flexibility for Robarts’ Scientific Director to create targeted research teams that promote synergies between scientists in complementary disciplines.
