Marlys Koschinsky, PhD, receives alumni award

Scientific and Executive Director Marlys Koschinsky, PhD, is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from The University of Winnipeg Alumni Association.

The award honours alumni for outstanding contributions to their professions and communities. It is the Alumni Association's highest tribute. Koschinsky completed a four-year degree in biology at the University in 1982.

“As a gifted researcher and dedicated community leader, Dr. Koschinsky exemplifies the very best of the spirit of The University of Winnipeg. We are proud to celebrate her accomplishments in research and her many contributions to the community, which have created a lasting legacy of excellence in the study of lipoproteins and cardiovascular disease,” said Alumni Association council president Sarah Bezan.
