Londoners create a lasting legacy

 After conducting some research of their own, the McClatchies decided to make a difference by supporting Robarts. Their generosity will establish the Ann and Ron McClatchie Endowed Research Fund. Annual income from the fund will support Robarts’ highest priority research projects and help bring promising research from the lab to you.

They shared their thoughts on why they chose to support Robarts. “We feel it is important to give back to our community and have done so for many years, working with the May Court Club of London, the Kiwanis Club of North London and through the work of our church.  However, we wanted to create a lasting legacy that would benefit future generations as well."  Canada, with its aging population, is currently facing a major crisis in stroke and dementia related disease.
As a national leader in biological, clinical and imaging research, Robarts Research Institute is ideally positioned to meet the research challenges that stroke presents.

Through the design, development and testing of preventative therapies, scientists at Robarts hope to stop disease progression through early detection, decreasing the human impact of this devastating illness and saving the Canadian health care system millions of dollars. Read More...
