Directors Message

Happy Holidays from Robarts Research Institute

Season's GreetingsIt has been an exciting year at Robarts with research breakthroughs in stroke, cancer and diabetes among many other areas. The 7 Tesla functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging system – the most powerful of its kind in Canada – is now online and helping our scientists conduct cutting edge research in a breadth of neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and Depression.

In the New Year Robarts will continue our tradition of excellence and innovation in medical research.  With the hard work of scientists, staff and students, as well as the support of government, academia and Robarts’ generous donors, we are making a difference, and improving the lives of those suffering from disease.

On behalf of all of us at Robarts, we wish you happiness and health for the holidays, and the New Year to come!

Best,
John MacDonald, PhD, FRSC
