TRANSDISCIPLINARY TRAINING IN BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, AND ENGINEERING:

Welcome to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Strategic Training Program in Vascular Research in Ontario, Canada. This program is partnered by Robarts Research Institute, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Waterloo.

New Biostatistics Workshop - December 2011

A series of 4 biostatistics workshops have been organized for students in the Ttraining Program. The workshops are being taught by Dr. Yves Bureau, a statistician. As well as instruction, the workshops are designed to give students some hands on experience analyzing data sets and are located in one of the computer rooms at Western.

The details of the times and location are:
Duration: 3 hours per session (12 hours in total)
Time: 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Location: SSC 1032 (Social Science Centre Computer Lab)
Dates: Dec. 1st, Dec. 2nd, Dec. 8th, and Dec. 9th

The CIHR Strategic Training Program in Vascular Research offers a dynamic, transdisciplinary training environment for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows in vascular research. The aim of our program is to develop research scientists with the expertise necessary to build future transdisciplinary teams focused on the understanding, treatment and prevention of vascular disease.
